Destination D23: The BEST of the Disney Parks Reveals!

The world of Disney Parks and Resorts is always abuzz with excitement, and this year’s Destination D23 event delivers a treasure trove of announcements and updates!  At the heart of it all we have Josh D’Amaro taking the stage to help unveil an array of magical plans that we can anticipate in the future.  Let’s look at some of our favourite reveals from Destination D23

 

Exciting news and we don’t even have to wait long – starting September 9th, 2023, the new Figment Meet and Greet arrives in EPCOT!  Brace yourselves for an experience beyond your imagination as the lovable purple dragon, Figment, makes his debut in the Imagination Pavilion.  Figment is known for his mischievous charm and infectious laughter and is a beloved part of EPCOT’s history.  Grab your camera, bring your smile and let your imagination soar!

 

The Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana officially opens October 16th, 2023 and Moana herself will be appearing in EPCOT World Nature for her own Meet and Greet starting on the same day!  If you haven’t heard of it yet, this is an interactive walk through exploration trail where you can interact with enchanting, living water in a breathtaking and inspiring setting with an extra sprinkle of Disney magic.  The Journey of Water, Inspired y Moana is a lush environment designed to engage and educate guests about the cycle of water and how it sustains our world.

 


Late November, the Hatbox Ghost is set to materialize at the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom.  Legends speak of the Hatbox          Ghost, a rather unhappy haunt that can materialize and vanish at will.  Visitors to the mansion will encounter him as they explore the            dimly lit corridors.

 

 

Luminous – The Symphony of Us will be EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular debuting December 5th, 2023!  A dazzling fusion of fireworks, fountains and beloved Disney music, this extraordinary display promises to be a feast for the senses.

 

 

Disney revealed that they are partnering with Chevrolet and their Imagineers to draw inspiration from the original World of Motion and infuse that same sense of optimism into a new version of the Test Track attraction at EPCOT.

 

 

Yo Ho!  A new Pirates of the Caribbean themed lounge is coming to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom!  Specific details are limited, butwe expect this new space to expand the story of the original attraction and even bring back the classic Barker Bird known as Peg-Leg-Pete who used to greet guests as they neared the pirates attraction.

 

 

The theater currently hosting “It’s Tough to be a Bug” will soon be transformed into a much anticipated Zootopia show at the base of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life.

 

 

Disney Imagineering revealed plans to transform Dinoland USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom into a fresh, vibrant land inspired by the “Tropical Americas” region.  Exciting new experiences based on the Academy Award winning animated film “Encanto” and the beloved adventurer Indiana Jones are being hinted at for the reimagined land.

 

The future of Disney Parks holds a multitude of thrilling experiences and innovations that will captivate visitors of all ages.  From reimagined lands inspired by our favourite films to cutting edge technologies that will enhance the magic, there is something extraordinary on the horizon for every Disney enthusiast.  One thing is certain, the magic of Disney will only continue to grow, leaving us with unforgettable memories and timeless tales of joy for years to come.
